I have never blogged before but I figure it ll be an interesting experience and a easy way to keep track of my work. Starting 1st year art and design I was cetainly nervous. I have loved art all my life and I assume it ll will be part of my future too. Starting LSAD comfirmes that. My main concern about art college was would I be good enough - in school when everyone has a variety of different talents I could say art was mine but here everyones talent is art! - I suppose I wouldnt have gotten in if I haden't shown some promise.
2 weeks in and its actually going ok. We have been given a project that will last our first semester - 13 weeks. Our project brief is a personal response to movement and motion. I began by brainstorming ideas:
I started off with obvious choices like vechicular movement, music,dance, wheels, bodeis. Then I tried to narrow it down more.My main area of interest was natural movement such as wind, water and light.

I explored these ideas through a range of mediums - pencil, pen, marker, pastel, photography, paint and ink. I found my ideas led towards the movement of light.
